My name is Jonas Malaco Filho, and I'm an Engineer and a Programmer. I develop algorithms, models and software at Elebeta, a company I co-founded.

Before that, I used work on demand forecasts for urban public transport systems at Logit. For the assignment I mostly used Emme, and for the rest it was a mix of a lot of programming, spreadsheets and databases.

I graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 2011, from the Escola Politécnica of the Universidade de São Paulo. There, I took a course on Graph algorithms from Instituto de Matemática e Estatística, modeled and analysed (using the finite elements method) the drilling process of a ABNT/SAE 1150 steel and was also one of the founders of their Formula SAE team.

Some other but related interests of mine (that I have not yet been able to fully pursue) are: development of programming languages, data compression, cyptography and highly parallel systems for dealing with big data.
